What is Cryptopia (TOS)?
Cryptopia is a blend of Civilization (strategy), Tycoon games (business simulation), and RPGs set in a futuristic city based entirely on the blockchain. Players can build a successful life in this city by using diverse playstyles: they can pursue the life of a Tycoon and build a DeFi empire, level up skills as a professional Adventurer, prey on ships as a Pirate, or catch wrongdoers as a Bounty Hunter. Players may also become members of one of the Factions—political groups that vie for control over Cryptopia.
All resources are tokenized, and all game items are NFTs. We use blockchain as a key component: everything that represents value or determines player effectiveness is on-chain. Our gaming model ties players who spend/purchase to players who don't want/cannot spend. These two groups need each other to progress. They create quests and jobs for each other and pay rewards to each other. There is a real decentralized, sustainable, player-to-player economy.
Cryptopia presents a complete and fully functional city-state built on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, a society free from any manipulative foreign power and fiat currency system, a place where citizens determine their governance, commerce, and way of life.
What makes Cryptopia (TOS) unique?
- Accommodates players who can spend and those who prefer free-to-play-and-earn (no mandatory purchase of NFTs/tokens) through the Tycoon and Adventurer playstyles, respectively.
- 100% decentralized; digital assets cannot lose value if game owners change the rules or shut the game down.
- Gasless economy through a partnership with SKALE.
- Provides a multisig wallet and account from the start, making onboarding intuitive and easy for newcomers.
- Safe and secure multisig wallet features multifactor authorization and account recovery.
- Fractional ownership: you can band together and collectively own assets.

What is Cryptopia (TOS) marketing strategy?
We have three distinct phases in our GTM strategy.
- Phase 1 is about teaser excitement, community building, earned coverage, and mini-events. We have built a solid foundation with an organic trail of quality content.
- Phase 2 builds on this solid foundation. We forged partnerships with gaming guilds, gaming aggregators, and other web3 projects. We entered into agreements with selected media and PR firms and KOLs for the upcoming beta version.
- Phase 3 is all about getting Cryptopia known to the world. This phase also targets traditional gamers. PR, Op-ed, events, and sponsorships will take place in the web3 space and the traditional gaming space. For new target groups/markets, the cycle starts again with Phase 1.
We are currently in (at the beginning of) phase 3. We are proud to have the IBC Group on board. The IBC Group is lead by Mario Nawfal and has top-tier X Spaces with Ran Neuner, Scott Melker and Mario himself.
Also, we started a massive airdrop campaign to onboard new users. Unlike other projects, we built our own airdrop mission system with missions like social sharing, learning, playing mini-games, and eventually downloading, installing, and playing Cryptopia.
We currently have 50K fully registered participants. To register, you need a code. DAO Maker can join our airdrop via this link https://cryptopia.com/airdrop/ref/98FC67
Alternatively, visit cryptopia.com and use the code 98FC67 when signing up.
Cryptopia (TOS) product dive
Multisig Wallet - A player’s Cryptopia account is their wallet. The non-custodial wallet comes with a baked-in Multisig feature and functions as both an in-game and dedicated stand-alone wallet. Its features are Multi-Factor Authentication, the ability to store native Cryptocurrencies (ETH), Tokens (ERC20) and NFT’s (ERC721), and players may transact directly from their wallet without leaving the application.
$TOS - Cryptopia’s native token and in-game currency. All tokens and NFTs in the game are denominated according to $TOS, creating a more unified and stable economy and making it easy for players to trade and exchange items. $TOS is used to purchase goods and services from players or the market. Players may also receive $TOS as rewards for completing quests or jobs.
Fungible Tokens - these make up commonplace resources that are indistinguishable from each other, such as wood, coal, sand, concrete, food, and so on.
NFTs - Unique and valuable assets, including title deeds, pets, ships, loyalty cards, tools, and more, are designated using NFTs. This ensures that scarcity is maintained and creates a market for trading the tokens inside and outside the game.
DAO contracts - these contracts dictate the game policies based on votes from the players. As such, the players can influence the game by advocating and voting for policies they favor. Even the game owners cannot change DAO contracts, resulting in fair and transparent regulations in the game.
What technologies Cryptopia (TOS) created and used?
We created a gasminer for SKALE:
Who is the team of Cryptopia (TOS)?
Who are the partners and investors of Cryptopia (TOS)?
What are token metrics of Cryptopia (TOS)?
TOS is Cryptopia's Native Token and in-game currency. Player may use TOS to purchase goods and services, and receive TOS as rewards for quests and jobs. All fungible and non-fungible assets such as coal, wood, title deeds, modules, blueprints, and others are denominated in TOS. The supply of TOS is capped at 10 billion. Players are encouraged to re-invest their earnings to increase their potential.
TOS has the following utilities.
1) Economic Transactions
- In-Game Currency: TOS is the default currency players use to pay for items and services within the game. Examples include buying basic blueprints and other items, paying workers (construction workers for building projects, factory workers for resource refinement and item creation), and paying for game services like increased marketplace visibility or community verification.
- Labor Compensation: Players are both the payers and recipients of TOS in diverse labor roles. For example, a player might employ construction workers by paying them in TOS to speed up building construction. Similarly, factory owners can pay factory workers in TOS to operate machinery for resource refinement (ERC-20) or item production (ERC-721). This dynamic balance nurtures an equitable in-game labor economy.
- Auctions and Bidding on Marketplace: Engage in competitive bidding and auctions using TOS to secure valuable items and resources.
2) Governance and Moderation
- In-Game Staking: Required for participation in critical governance and moderation functions, staking of TOS takes place within specific in-game buildings.
- Courts: For resolving disputes, such as username appropriateness, a token-backed mechanism led by elected moderators or an organized court session handles the deliberation. This involves staking TOS as a security deposit from both parties.
- Oracles: Players can stake TOS to verify personal data like age or location. Verification includes social media-based tasks that further bolster community trust.
3) Tax Mechanism
- Tax Allocation: Cryptopia's tax system plays a vital role in sustaining the game's ecosystem. A portion of the TOS spent in various in-game activities is directed into the treasury. These funds are crucial for the game's longevity as they are allocated for quest rewards, community initiatives, and other incentives that keep players engaged.
Examples:
- Labor Compensation: When a player pays TOS to employ a construction worker, a percentage of that payment is taxed and directed into the treasury.
- Social Post Mechanism: If a user spends TOS to boost the visibility of their social post, a small portion is taxed and contributed to the treasury.
- Advertising: When players spend TOS to secure advertising spaces, a share of that payment is taxed into the treasury.
The diversified sources of tax, from labor payments to social interactions and advertising, create a well-balanced and healthy game economy, ensuring a rewarding and sustainable experience for all players.
4) Community and Social Engagement
- Membership Tiers: Access to privileged game features and social circles comes with holding specific amounts of TOS.
- Visibility Boost: Users can spend TOS to enhance the visibility of their posts.
- User Rewards: Other users can reward quality content by sending TOS, making these tokens act similarly to 'likes' but with greater value.
- Trending Post Advertisements: Authors of trending posts can host ads paid for in TOS. The major share goes to the author, while a smaller part is taxed into the treasury.
5) Virtual Real Estate and Advertising
- Virtual Real Estate: Leverage TOS to rent high-value advertising spaces on key structures within Cryptopia, like skyscrapers, enhancing your in-game influence.
6) Game-Centric Uses
- Cooldown and Crafting Times: Players can use TOS to shorten cooldown and crafting times. Players can instantly nullify crafting times by spending TOS or benefit from reduced crafting intervals by holding TOS in their accounts.
- Skill and Character Upgrades: Use TOS to purchase advanced skills or character enhancements, including learning new recipes.
- Item Enhancement and Repair: Utilize TOS to enhance or repair in-game items like tools, ships, and wearables. Players with the appropriate skillset can perform repairs without cost and earn TOS by repairing items for others. Ships can be repaired in docks for a TOS fee.
- Guild Formation: The game charges a TOS fee for guild formation. Once formed, the guild operates as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) with its own governance token.
